Stitched Collage

Upon returning from England in the late '70's, I didn't have a studio so I made smaller pieces that I could carry with me to work on. I collected small remnants of paper and fabric and stitched them together to make sense of the barrage of imagery that was coming at me. It was also the height of the "mail art" era and color xerox was just beginning. I was experimenting with soft postcards made from fabric and paper and incorporating color xerox and transfers into my textile work.
